exhibit at wild hare

April 3, 2010

Marlon had a one-man exhibition at the Wild Hare in Bemidji through the month of May.  There was an opening reception on the FIRST FRIDAY of the month, well-attended by friends and art lovers.  The theme of the exhibition, under the title, “New Work,” centered on birds and masks.  All the art works in the exhibit were based on collage and all had been executed over a one-year period.

At the same time, through May, Davidson and Knudson had five collaborations at First Lutheran Church, icons created especially  for this exhibit opportunity. We called the collection,  “Icons to Human Virtues,”   not replacing the traditional values, but extending that concept.  The individual icons are listed as,   “Seek Truth, Practice Love, Celebrate Life, Make Commitment, Create Beauty.”  That  small exhibit came down the end of May.

  1. I love the black background on this one. I think you should continue this one. The images stand out better and I like the format better too.
